Virat Kohli Retirement

 It's fun how this retirement came as a surprise to everyone. Though sad fans were craving more of him. The timing raises questions. I have been observing that most of these retirements of great players occur during a sensitive time in which India as a whole is going through a change hence maybe to divert the mind of people the retirement is forced upon many. 

Example 1st: Sachin Tendulkar International retirement: This came on Nov.16,2013. This was the peak time of elections in India as election were to happen in 5 key states in India, further the UPA government was being targeted for various scams that had occurred for example 2G,Colgate etc. Also that of Janlokpal, and the state was going through Anna Hazare movement, which led to the origin of new party Aap. So maybe to divert the attention He may have been forced.

2: M.S.Dhoni: Retired on August 15, 2020 : now this time was marked by Covid-19 first wave and also further reports of Galwan valley clash were emerging. There was a broad consensus regarding the under report of deaths that happened during COVID as was the disrespectful treatment of the dead. Highlighting the unpreparedness of the government. And also reports coming out that how China unilaterally changing boundaries as the clash happened on point 5  in Galwan valley where as India used to patrol till point 14, also used to go till hot springs point 15 but now a buffer zone is created at point 14 a no man land, thereby India loosing land. Hence as these questions were coming to light maybe to divert the attention of public to a different matter this was decided.

3: Now the Virat Kohli Retirement: Happened on May 12,2025 though only from test cricket but the timing is again confusing. As India and Pakistan were on a brink of a war, though ceasefire was announced on May 10, there were many questions lingering. Though the Indian government and Army did good as an overall strategy of attack. The questions which were still unanswered were why did not Nation came into open support for India, like it happened with Pakistan (Turkey,China, Bangladesh). Further why was Pakistan able to get the IMF loan. Also what were security lapse. What was the role of America and how come we accepted the interference of a third Nation in a bilateral dispute,Did we axed ourselves by making Kashmir an International issue. Or did we manage to avoid this.  As many deep question were to be asked maybe a small distraction has derailed the process. Hence only a test cricket retirement. 

The Main Question is what will those in power try to hide when for example Rohit Sharma retires, or Virat Kohli takes the whole retirement.
